AFTER YEARS SPENT AT DANISH DESIGNER, MORTEN GEORGSEN'S STUDIO IN VALENCIA, SPAIN I HAVE BEEN RADICALLY INFLUENCED BY THE STUDIO'S "NO NONSENSE" DESIGN ATTITUDE & STAY TRUE IN PURSUIT OF ELEGANT SIMPLICITY WITH EXCITING FUNCTIONS AS I CONTINUE MY JOURNEY IN LONDON.
TIMING IS ESSENTIAL & WILL MAKE THE DIFFERENCE FOR THE SUCCESS OF ANY PRODUCT. MY BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE IN GLOBAL FURNITURE STYLES & TRENDS ADVANCE THE DESIGN PROCESS & IDENTIFY FORWARD THINKING SOLUTIONS THAT RECOGNISE AN EVOLVING MARKET WHICH DEMANDS EXQUISITE DESIGN FAST.
SEAN FAIRMAN
Currently working on a variety of traditional & sustainably driven projects that explore a broad array of exciting emerging materials for applications in the furniture industry. These eco materials include: bioceramics, pressurised limestone, corn starch, rice husk & a variety of fabrics created from recycled plastic bottles. The world is currently ushering in a new eco era where consumers are demanding more sustainable products. It is part of my duty as a designer to explore these new realms of sustainability & assist in a variety of material disciplines if required.
Born in London, I studied a masters degree in Industrial Design at Coventry University, securing a years practice at Morten Georgsen's Design Studio in Valencia, Spain.
Upon accomplishing the masters qualification, I was honoured to be invited back to work at Morten's Studio, where I have cultivated a rich catalogue of skills that focus on design elegance, functionality & industry know-how over a number of years.
I thoroughly enjoyed every day working at the studio which emanated opportunities to lead & work on projects for a variety of global brands. I was & always will be inspired & appreciate a unified philosophy of design for a multitude of styles from Scandinavian, Mid Century, American, Mediterranean, German, British & more.
